Through songs and games, your child will learn how to blow bubbles, hold their breath, submerge, and respond to simple commands like 'kick,' 'scoop' and 'splash.' Following the instructor's directions, you will work with your child on freestyle arm motions, streamline position, and back floats. By the end of class, your tot will be able to reach and grab for the pool wall and jump into the water with assistance. We encourage you to complete two sessions of the program with your child to reinforce the skills covered and for your child to get more exposure to water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

Public $777/Member $660.45Prerequisites: Students should have passed our Pre-School Level 3 class, or our Intro to Swimming class, or should be able to perform Freestyle and Dolphin kick with a kickboard, perform side-breathing for Freestyle, and perform Backstroke with straight-arm recovery.
Core Level 1 is designed for young swimmers to continue to refine their strokes and advance their skill sets for water safety, body awareness, and stroke mechanics for Backstroke and Freestyle, including bi-lateral breathing. Through advanced swimming instruction, our students will also continue to develop kicking and body mechanics for freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke kick as well as underwater streamline push-offs.

Public $777/Member $660.45Prerequisites: Students should have passed our Core Level 1 class or should be able to perform Freestyle, Backstroke, and Dolphin kick with and without a kickboard, perform the strokes for Freestyle and Backstroke, and understand basic motor patterns for Breaststroke and Butterfly.
Students in Core Level 2 will become more precise and well-rounded swimmers. Our instructors will continue to advance swimmers’ understanding of lane etiquette through exposure to circle swimming and more repetitions during each session. Students will review body movement and kicking skills for all four strokes and be taught drill progressions to help cement these skills. Students at this level will be asked to kick and swim with a combination of skill and speed.

They will also use equipment like a kickboard to help build a foundation of kicking skills for Freestyle, Backstroke and Dolphin Kick, and swimming skills for Freestyle and Backstroke.

In this parent-child class, the instructor will provide you with verbal cues and support holds to encourage your toddler to try new swim techniques. Your little swimmer will learn how to submerge unassisted, blow bubbles while submerged, perform arm motions for freestyle and backstroke, and perform simultaneous arm and leg motions on their front and back. Your toddler will also learn how to respond to safety commands, understand safe pool entry and feel comfortable and happy in the water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

Through drills and mini-games your little ballplayer will learn how to field a ground ball catch hold a bat with correct grip hit a ball off a tee and get into different field stances.

The coach will incorporate exercises that work on agility, balance and coordination, as well as hand-eye coordination and tracking exercises. Pre-School Level 1 will introduce children to class time without their parents in the water. To ease the kids into the separation, we ask parents to participate in the water for part of the term and then gradually transition out of the water completely as the class progresses.
